How do I properly create a project in Adobe Photoshop?
When creating a project, you need to remember a few important settings.

Start by entering the project name
Now specify the size of the pattern
Remember that the maximum width of your design should not exceed the width of the fabric you intend to print on. The length can be a maximum of 200 cm.
Set the correct resolution
Type 300 in the text box and select Pixels/Inch from the selection bar next to it. 
Select a colour mode
The correct colour mode is RGB Color.
Select colour depth - 8 bit
Set the correct colour profile - Adobe RGB (1998)
Done! Confirm your settings by selecting "Create".
